What to Expect before Your Session
Once a session has been booked and a date has been decided on, you will receive a welcome guide and a link to your session agreement and contract. The signed contract and session fee are due within 5 days to secure your session. We can chat about location and any ideas you have in mind for your session. Then it’s time to choose your outfits! Your welcome guide includes wardrobe suggestions.
What to expect during your session
You can expect about an hour of chatting, walking around, hanging out and letting the kids lead the way. I'll also take a few pictures :) Often times I'll ask the parents to walk around the corner or out of sight so the kiddos will loosen up a bit. It's best if you don't coach them to *smile* before you arrive. I'll chat with them and get to know them quickly so that I can snag some genuine smiles. If you want to have some bribes up your sleeve before you arrive, that's fine.. but we don't usually need them. The most important thing is to follow the kids' lead. If they're comfortable and happy then the rest will fall into place. I know the thought of getting everyone to cooperate is stressful but you can relax and leave that up to me. The best compliments I receive are clients saying they *enjoyed* the session and it felt more like *hanging out* than a family photo session!
what to expect after your session
Here's where you benefit from my Type A personality! I typically have a preview up on Facebook and Instagram within 24 hours of your session. Within 2 weeks of your session, you will receive an email with a link to your online password protected gallery. Your gallery will contain the images that are carefully selected and best represent my style. You will then have 1 week to place your order. The link can be forwarded to family and friends so that they can place their own order! Once your order is placed and payment is received you can expect to have your beautiful prints in your hands within 10 days.
do you offer mini sessions?
Mini sessions are 20 minute sessions and offered on announced dates only. They are often themed or offered near Holidays. They go quickly so keep your eyes peeled for announcements!
Do you offer high resolution downloads?
It is my preference to hand you beautifully packaged, mounted prints just a few weeks after your session. However, should you prefer to have the Digital Downloads, they are available to purchase in your gallery. The cost of downloads is $25 per image or $300 for the full gallery.
